Rayleen Clancy
Rayleen Clancy's growing reputation will only be further enhanced by her latest works. She graduated from WIT in 2008 with an Honours Degree in Art, and Munster Express Art Critic Liam Murphy said "The star of the Graduates Show was Rayleen Clancy". She also studied at National College of Art & Design, Dublin, and at San Francisco Art Institute. She graduated from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology in Film Studies.
"Gai Morrissey my art teacher in Coláiste Múire was inspirational" said Rayleen in an Irish Times interview in November 2005. Rayleen Clancy's restrained light is very effective. Her use of colour makes the ordinary seem extraordinary. Her current body of work is inspired by the Colligan River at the Wooden Bridge in Co. Waterford.
