Joan Clancy Gallery to celebrate Oíche Chultúir in Ring

The County Waterford Gaeltacht area of An Rinn holds great memories of summers long ago for many people, and Culture Night Oíche Chultúir, Friday September 21st provides the ideal excuse to return again to that romanticised place.
This is a fantastic occasion to savour the rich, valuable and unique cultural vibrancy of the Gaeltacht and Joan Clancy Gallery in An Rinn (Ring) will throw open the doors from 4.30 - 9pm on Culture Night Oíche Chultúir with a celebration of work by the finest local up and coming artists and some of Ireland's renowned names.
"We will serve a glass or wine or soft drink in celebration this unique cultural vibrancy of the Gaeltacht" says Joan, "and we are showcasing works by Damaris Lysaght, Blawnin Clancy, Andrea Jameson, Ross Stewart, Mary Clancy, Arthur Maderson, Ruth Carbery, Mary Foley, Kevin Miller, Rayleen Clancy, Sinéad Hehir, Katarzyna Gajewska, Dave West, Cassie Kirby, Caoimhghin Ó Croidheain, Conor O'Mahony and others".
Culture Night Oíche Chultúir is the largest platform to showcase Ireland's cultural and artistic richness and represents an extremely powerful and positive image of the vast contribution culture can make to our society.
Húlaí with Mary Rafferty and friends will host a free céili with tea, coffee and desserts for all the family in Meánscoil San Nioclás, located on the main road to Helvick, from 6.30 Ė 8pm. Info: 087 271 4671;
Tigh an Cheoil in Baile na nGall will rock to the rafters from 9pm with members of the fabulous menís choir Cór Fear na nDéise, the Conneries Singing Club and local singers and musicians. Genial hosts Josie
