Sinéad Ní Chionaola is a contemporary visual painter who grew up in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Surrounded by natural beauty, she developed a deep-rooted appreciation for landscape that continues to inform her work. Her work is connected by themes of light, movement, memory, and a strong sense of presence, alongside the physicality of acrylic paint on canvas.

She studied at Crawford College of Art and Design, graduating with distinction and receiving an award of free studio space at Backwater Artists in 1990. Her work is held in collections including the OPW and UCC, as well as private collections across Ireland, Europe, Switzerland, and the United States.

Ní Chionaola has received awards from the Arts Council of Ireland, Foras na Gaeilge, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (USA), and the Department of Foreign Affairs. She continues to exhibit nationally and internationally, both online and in physical exhibitions.
